He Said, She Said: Exploring How Men and Women Communicate - Think that men and women communicate differently? You're right. Think that there's nothing you can do to change that? Think again. Dr. Deborah Tannen is a world renowned author and professor of linguistics at Georgetown. Her work has explored the conversational gender differences that start in early childhood and affect our productivity in the workplace. In this workshop, we will explore her work with identifying what differences exist, where they come from, and who to overcome them to improve working relationships.
Twilight Fun - 2 fun activities for participants - pamper yourself or Deadwood Leisure. Pamper Yourself: Massages, quilts to cuddle in, scrap booking and small make n take quilt projects will all be featured the evening of Friday, September 26th immediately following the lite meal, which includes cheesecake. There will be chair massages, vintage fabric information (make sure you bring old quilts, dresser scarves, anything that has some age on it - and I don't mean just yourself!). There will be two different make-n-takes: a scrap booking activity ($5) and a quilting activity ($5). Come, enjoy! Deadwood Leisure: Description coming soon.
